AST Announces New Vice President of Sales and Marketing<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TACOMA, Wash., Oct 20, 2022– Automated Systems of Tacoma, LLC (AST), a leading provider of flexible aseptic filling systems, announces Josh Russell has rejoined AST as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Josh lives in Philadelphia, PA region and rejoins the AST team after three years at AES Clean Technologies as VP of Sales & Marketing. Previously, Josh worked at AST over a fifteen-year span holding several positions of responsibility including leading the development of AST\u2019s fill-finish systems product line, and later as Vice President of Business Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josh has been involved in designing and implementing new and innovative technologies within the biopharmaceutical and cell & gene industries for more than 15 years. His primary interest and focus have been drug product manufacturing facilities and sterile product processing. After earning his Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from St. Martins University, early in his career Josh designed complex industrial machinery and system for a variety of industries including aerospace, hygiene, and life sciences. He quickly grew
a passion for developing solutions that address the emerging challenges brought on by the biopharma industry\u2019s shift toward more personalized patient-specific therapies. While at AST, he led technical teams that ultimately developed now widely used adaptive robotic systems in aseptic applications used in sterile injectable product manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
